Three Perry County student-athletes have been named to Kentucky’s All-Star teams to compete against the Indiana All-Stars.

Buckhorn senior Matt Day, along with Perry Central’s Kendall Noble and PCC senior Jaysean Paige, were announced as All-Stars on their respective teams this week.

Day, who averaged 22.9 points and 13.7 rebounds during his senior season, recently signed to play basketball at the University of Virginia at Wise. He was also a finalist for Mr. Basketball.

Kendall Noble, a finalist for Miss Basketball, finished her senior season in the state Sweet 16 tournament, and also recently signed to play college basketball. She will take her talents to Western Kentucky University. She appeared in the Sweet 16 in six straight seasons, and amassed 2,987 points, 1,653 rebounds, 1,014 steals and 916 assists during her high school career.

Jaysean Paige played one season for Perry Central, but made a large impact in that time. He averaged 21.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, leading the Commodores to a 23-5 record.

The Kentucky-Indiana High School All-Star Classic is set for June 8 at Freedom Hall in Louisville. The girls will tipoff at 5:30 p.m. immediately followed by the boys’ game. The Indiana games will follow on Saturday, June 9 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse (formerly Conseco) in Indianapolis. The Kentucky game is a fundraiser for the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation.

Game tickets are available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.com. The game also has a fan page on Facebook – Kentucky High School.
