The Hazard Herald’s 5th annual Great Easter Egg Hunt has drawn to a close this week after the $300 prize egg was found on Wednesday.

Christian Callahan, a 19-year-old student at Hazard Community and Technical College, turned in the egg to staff at the Herald’s office Thursday morning.

Callahan said he had been using clues placed into the paper each week to find the egg, and searched several different places before finally locating it on the edge of a field across from the former Homeplace Clinic in Ary.

For a full recap of the clues, and an explanation of each, pick up a copy of next week’s Hazard Herald.
