HAZARD — Two people were arrested this month and charged with sodomizing a minor over a four-month period.

Susan K. Jamison, 37, and Thomas E. Colwell, 20, both of Bonnyman, were arrested Sept. 14 and charged with first-degree sodomy of someone incapable of giving consent. According to the arrest citation filed by the Hazard Police Department, Jamison and Colwell allegedly sodomized a minor in Jamison’s home between May and August of this year.

The victim gave a statement to the Kentucky River Children’s Advocacy Center implicating the two in the act, according to the citation. The two were arrested by Hazard Police officer Zach Miller and taken to Kentucky River Regional Jail.

Both were arraigned last week, and appeared in Perry District Court this week for their preliminary hearings, during which their cases were sent to the grand jury for consideration of an indictment.
