Hunters can now go online at fw.ky.gov to see if they were drawn for Kentucky’s 2013-14 elk hunts. The Commonwealth Office of Technology has selected 1,010 names from among the 34,397 people who applied for the hunts. The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources received 61,051 applications from as far away as Hawaii, Alaska, Ontario, Maine, Florida and Texas. Hunters could apply for up to two permits. The ninth annual boy’s Adidas Appalachian Underclassman All Star Classicis scheduled for this week. The game will take place at Perry Central High School on May 3 with the Rookie Adidas All Star game at 6 p.m., Bronze Medal All Star game at 7:30, and the Blue Chip All Star Classic at 9:00. Yankees 10 Padres 6 The Yankees and the Padres battled throughout the game, with the Yankees pulling away late for the 10-6 win. The game was tied after two innings of play (2-2), with the Yankees going ahead 7-5 in the third inning. They then went up 10-5 in the fourth. The Perry County Central Lady Commodores hosted the Jackson City Lady Tigers last week, using a steady offense and a strong defense to stop the Lady Tigers 9-0.
