Perry hosts Pikeville in scrimmage

The Perry County Central Commodores hosted the Pikeville Panthers in its only football scrimmage of the season. The Commodores would be putting new players in several positions, and well as learning a new playbook as they have a new coaching staff.The Commodores spent the majority of the time working on new plays with new personnel, while the Panthers were looking to take advantage and practice their plays for their upcoming game with Prestonsburg.During the ten play sequence, Perry Central moved the ball well, and on a couple of occasion came up just shy of the end zone. On defense, the Commodores did well, but fell victim to the big play on play ten a couple of times.


Local fighters score in West Virginia

Last week, several local jujitsu fighters participated in the West Virginia State Games. Each member of the team placed in their division.They are members of the Top Fight Academy in the Valhalla Association under Carlos Gracie. Hazard takes on N. Laurel in scrimmage

Last Thursday, the Hazard Bulldog football team traveled to London to take on the North Laurel Jaguars in the season’s last scrimmage.
