Bulldogs ground Briar Jumpers

On Friday, the Hazard Bulldog football team loaded the bus and traveled to Somerset to take on the Briar Jumpers. The Bulldogs were able to turn a tight second period game into a blow out as they grounded the Briar Jumpers 53-19.Hazard got on the board first with back-to-back touchdown passes from Tanner Morgan. Morgan hit Jalen Olinger on a 32-yard score, and Trey Higgins followed that with a 12-yard grab.Somerset would tie the score with a touchdown at the end of the first period, and one at the beginning of the second. The next two scores would belong to Hazard. Brandon Jones scored on consecutive possessions. The first on a 44-yard run, and the second on a 10-yarder, sending the Bulldogs to the locker room with the 25-13 lead.


Hazard opens All “A” with a win

On Sunday, the Hazard Bulldogs opened their quest for the 14th region All “A” title with the Jackson City Tigers. The Hazard Lady Bulldogs played a pair of home games this week, hosting Oneida Baptist Institute and Middlesboro.
