Last week, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs won the JV tournament. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Leslie County Lady Eagles for the title.The contest was tight throughout, with Hazard staying one step ahead of their opponent. The Lady Bulldogs held a 10-9 lead at the end of the first period, and went into the locker room trailing 15-16.However, shortly after the two teams stepped on the floor for the second half, Hazard was back on top. The Perry County Central Lady Commodores hooked up with the Leslie County Lady Eagles in the championship game of the 54th district on Thursday. The Lady Eagles won the only regular season match up, coming from behind in the final minute for the win.
