Brandon David Cockrell, 28, of Bulan, departed this life on Monday, August 1 in South Carolina.
Brandon was born in Hazard, the son of Clyde David Cockrell and Kyla Gwen Fagues Cockrell. He was a lifelong resident of Perry County and enjoyed four wheeler riding, movie nights with friends and family, and muscle cars. He was affiliated with the Tribbey Church of God, and by occupation was a pretrial officer with the Perry County Courts and Justice Center.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Cockrell of Bulan; parents David and Kyla Cockrell of Bulan; children Kobe and Morgan Pratt of Bulan; sisters Jolene and Kasey Cockrell, both of Bulan; maternal grandmother Rachel Grigsby of Bulan; paternal grandfather Clyde Cockrell of Bulan; maternal grandparents Homer and Maxine Fagues of Bulan; paternal grandparents Pauline and Edward Powell of Georgia, and a host of aunts, uncles, close friends, relatives and co-workers.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 8, at 2 p.m. at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Homer Fagues, Karen Campbell, Johnny Ambrose and Mike Smith officiating. The burial will follow in the Hardburly Cemetery located on Hardburly Mountain.
