She is survived by 2 daughters, Rhonda Branson of Hazard; Patty Waddell of Shephersville; 1 son, Claude Branson Jr., of Vicco; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren. He attended Alvan Drew High School in Wolfe County, Stuart Robinson High School in Letcher County and Bowling Green Business University, was a retired U.S. Postal Service Manager, a former Alvaton High School teacher, a U.S. Navy
Veteran who served in the Korean War, and a volunteer for American Red Cross Blood Drive Program. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, JoNelle Cohron Crawford, 1 daughter, Susan Crawford Reynolds and husband Kenneth of Alcoa, TN; 1 sister, Gladys Combs of Versailles; 1 granddaughter, Emily Katherine Reynolds of Alcoa, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral was conducted at 11:00 am Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Eastwood Baptist Church in Bowling Green where he was a member, deacon, Sunday School teacher, and worship Choir member, burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.
