On Tuesday, the Perry County Central entered into uncharted territory when they hosted the Letcher Central Cougars. Little to nothing was known of the Cougars as they had not played a local team this season.

The Commodores jumped out to an early lead and had to hold off a late rally by the Cougars. Letcher Central was able to cut the margin to a single run in the top of the sixth inning, but Perry Central had a little left in their tank as they went on to the 10-6 win.

The Commodores opened the game with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning. John Couch picked up a two out single, and moved into scoring position by stealing second. Jon Bowling followed Couch with a single that plated the Commodores
