No arrest made at this time

During the weekend of February 10, Watts Mobile Homes in Hazard found good use for the security cameras they had installed. Over that weekend, someone stole several thousand dollars worth of appliances from mobile homes in the Watts lot. And video surveillance helped police observe the burglary.
Harry Watts with Watts Mobile Homes said that the theft of a little over a week ago was not the first time someone had stolen property from the mobile home lot. But this is the first time that they have recovered property afterwards.
“We’ve lost over $20,000 over a period of time,” said Watts. The last burglary resulted in about $6,300 dollars in lost property according to Harry Watts. But last Thursday, Officer Shawn White with the Hazard Police Department brought in a recovered washer and dryer for Watts Mobile Homes after a tip from a citizen.
Watts said that thieves have taken TVs, VCRs, refrigerators and more right out of the wall where they were once secured. So far, Officer White has helped recover two washers, two dryers, and a stove from the property most recently stolen from Watts Mobile Homes. The recovered goods total to nearly $2,000--- $2,000 that Watts says he’s grateful to have back.
At press time, there have been no arrests in the Watts Mobile Home theft.
