The Perry County Central Lady Commodores will take to the court for the 2007 volleyball season with high expectations. The Lady Commodores will try to improve on last year’s 8-12 record with much improved quickness. Although the Lady Commodores will be putting a much smaller team on the floor, Coach Pray feels that their quickness, serving and passing will lead them to a winning season.

Coach Pray, and the Lady Commodores, closed out this year’s preseason with 20 players. This year’s squad will showcase four returning seniors (Deidra Jones, Jamie Turner, Chasity Fields and Milicent Fugate), and two juniors (Breana Welch and Kelly Abner).

This will be the first year that the Lady Commodores will feature a strong contingency of grade school players. The Lady Commodores will have eight youngsters on the court.
