Due to the fire that debilitated the Nixon Center, the Perry County Central and Leslie County game was moved to the John C. Combs Arena. The Commodores were able to notch their second consecutive district win, downing the Eagles 73-35.
The game started slow, with both teams struggling to find their niche. The Commodores were able to use their defense to break the stalemate, and eventually took an 18-6 advantage in the period. Perry Central continued to keep the pressure on in the second period, working their defense for a 40-18 halftime lead.
Leslie County came out of the locker room with hopes of getting back into the game. However, the tempo proved more to the liking of Perry Central, leaving the Commodores with a 58-29 advantage going into the final frame.
With the outcome of the game all but decided, both teams went deep into their benches to close out the game. The Commodores went on to the easy 73-35 win.
