She was the daughter of the late Monroe Shepherd and the late Allie Jones Shepherd. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Combs.
She is survived by her daughters, Billie Joyce Combs and Brenda Creech, both of Happy, Ky.; son David Allen of Happy; brothers Felix Shepherd of Happy and Merrill Shepherd of London, Ky.; and grandchildren Naomi Creech, Alisha Creech and William Combs. Arrangements were handled by the staff of Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard, Ky. where the family received friends on Thursday, May 8. The funeral service was conducted on Friday, May 9 at the funeral home with J.T. Eversole officiating. Interment was at Blackhawk Cemetery located in Happy, Ky.
