The Perry County Central Lady Commodores soccer team posted a pair of wins this week, dominating their opponents and scoring 19 total goals in the two games.

Perry Central opened the week with the Hazard Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Commodores jumped out to the early lead, and never looked back as they ran out to the rout.

Perry Central got on the board early with an one-on-one goal from Ashley Morris. They then picked up a penalty kick by Tori Couch (2-0).

Late in the half, Taylor Adkins took the corner kick and found herself with the ball off the rebound. Adkins then put the ball in the far corner. Morris picked up her second goal to round out the half (4-0).

Perry Central kept up the pressure in the second half, and pushed the deficit to 9-0 down the stretch. The Lady Commodores could not get the tenth goal to end the game, and when the final whistle blew, Perry Central came away with the 9-0 win. Ashley Morris finished her third consecutive game with a hat-trick.

Perry Central stats: Goals: Ashley Morris 3, Brandi Campbell 2, Taylor Adkins 1, Dallas Coots 1, Tori Couch 1. Assists: Kelsey Lowe 1.

In their second game, the Lady Commodores traveled to Bell County to take on the Lady Bobcats. Perry Central had little trouble in this contest as they were able to end the game early with the 10-0 win.

Perry Central’s usual players did not lead the attack in this game, but rather helped their teammates to get in the scorebook. By the half, the Lady Commodores had built a 7-0 lead, and in the second half, ended the game early with the 10-0 score.

Perry Central stats: Goals: Bailey Campbell 1, Brandi Campbell 2, Brooke Campbell 2, Jamie Campbell 2, Dallas Coots 2 and Courtney Noyes 1. Assists: Taylor Adkins 1, Brooke Campbell 1, Tori Couch 1, Kelsey Lowe 2, Lindsey McIntyre 1, Sarah Melton 1 and Ashley Morris 1.
