The Hazard Lady Bulldogs played a pair of games this week, and came away with two wins. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Sheldon Clark Lady Cardinals 1-0, and finished with a 6-2 win over the Middlesboro Lady Yellowjackets.

Hazard had a hard-fought battle with Sheldon Clark, and took the 1-0 victory (no stats on this game were provided). The Lady Bulldogs then went to Middlesboro to take on the Lady Yellowjackets. This game was shortened due to an altercation.

The Lady Bulldogs won the previous meeting between the two squads 10-0, and claimed a trip to the All “A” state tournament. This time, Hazard would give up a couple of goals to the Lady Yellowjackets, but would still come away with the victory. Hazard was leading the contest by a 6-2 count when a fight broke out that led the officials to end the game.

Hazard stats: Goals: Amanda Asher 2, Drew Baker 2, Keshia Hamblin 1 and Carmen Shepherd 1. Assists: Tiffany Combs 1, Keshia Hamblin 1 and Carmen Shepherd 2.
