HAZARD — For the second time in October the Perry County Grand Jury met to consider more cases that were up for indictment. During the first grand jury meeting 30 indictments were returned, and additional 11 were handed down last week.

Sharon Hensley, 34, of Hazard, was indicted this month for second-degree escape and resisting arrest. Hensley had allegedly been involved in a plot to steal $17,000 from UBet by staging a carjacking. After being arrested for the alleged carjacking, Hensley was released on bond and put on home incarceration. She was then alleged to have absconded from home incarceration before being found by the Kentucky State Police. A week after being re-arrested, Hensley allegedly attempted a second escape by fleeing from a transport van in the parking lot of the Kentucky River Regional Jail.

Hensley was again captured and was indicted this month on the second escape attempt. Her bail is set at $20,000.

Combs was allegedly in possession of 130 methadone and seven oxycodone tablets on May 14. On this same date he was also found to be driving on a suspended license and without a seat belt, according to the indictment. He was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, operating on a suspended or revoked license, and failure to wear a seat belt. His bail is set at $30,000.
