Last Tuesday, the Perry County Central Commodores held their annual “Commodore Madness” to introduce the 2012-13 boys and girls basketball teams. The Commodores, and Lady Commodores, were joined by several county boys basketball teams in the celebration.

Although the grade school boys’ schedule has already begun, several of the areas teams participated in the event. The teams played 15-minute, continuous clock scrimmages throughout the evening.

Afterwards, the Lady Commodores were introduced to the crowd. They participated in an inter-squad scrimmage, playing 15 minutes.

Before the boys’ squad hit the floor, the crowd was introduced to the cheerleaders. The Commodore cheerleaders will be this year’s defending World Champions. The Cheerleaders performed one of their early routines.

The evening was capped off with the introduction of the 2012-13 Commodores. Afterwards, the team split into two squads for a scrimmage.

The evening was a success as a large crowd turned out for the grade school games, and many stayed throughout the night.
