There was no shortage of things to do in Hazard Saturday evening, as the annual Christmas for Charity ball was taking place at Hazard Community and Technical College, the Perry County library was hosting a concert, and Treehouse Cafe and Bakery played host to the third installment of the Treehouse Poets Series, a monthly literary reading held in downtown Hazard. Thirteen readers participated this month, with readers from Perry and Leslie counties, and one reader traveling from Lexington. A few dozen people attended this month’s reading, which Treehouse owner Jennifer Noble noted is growing each month. The next reading will be held Saturday, Jan. 5.
