Johnny Darrell Brown, 61, died Monday, Jan. 21 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
He was born Dec. 20, 1951 in Whitesburg, the son of the late John Watson Brown and the late Cora Mcfalls Brown, and was also preceded in death by a host of brothers and sisters, and a special nephew, Phillip Adams.
He was a life-long resident of Perry County, and enjoyed being outdoors fishing, four-wheeling, and shooting.
He is survived by his companion, Vicki Amburgey of Hazard; daughters Cindy Brown Day of Hazard, Sandy Brown Dixon of Emmalena, Josie Amburgey of Hazard, and Osa Amburgey of Hazard; son Shane Amburgey of Hazard; grandchildren Tyler Day, Taylor Day, Cameron Dixon, Cole Napier and Jordyn Napier; and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Jan, 24, at 11 a.m. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard with Rev. Terry Joseph officiating. The interment will follow in the Raymond Brown Cemetery located at Dry Fork. The visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
