Zena Noble, 91, died Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was a retired nurse from the U.S. Army and the daughter of the late Alonzo hurt and the late Grace Calhoun Hurt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Noble; brother Alonzo Hurt, Jr.; and sister Obereen Lusk.
She is survived by her son, Elmer Ratcliff and wife Mirta of Hazard; daughter Patricia Ann Noble (Kathleen Ellis) of Maryland, Patsy Fields and husband Arlis of Hazard, and Cissi Jones and husband Doug of Hazard; sister Peggy Mayo and husband Sherman of Hazard; grandchildren Chad Clemons and wife Karen, Nebraska Jones, Caitlin Jones, Shyla Ratcliff, Melissa Ratcliff, Holly Caudill, and Mitch Fields; great-grandchildren Chance Clemons, Connor Clemons, C.W. Godsey, Issac Turner, Cameron Caudill, Hannah Caudill, Ryan Fields, and Taylor Davis.
She was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hope in the Mountains of Prestonsburg.
