A boil water advisory issued for approximately 50 customers in the Big Creek community was lifted on Wednesday.
Hazard City Manager Carlos Combs issued the advisory on Jan. 31, but in a release this week noted that analysis of water samples taken from the Whitaker Fork area show that any threat of bacterial contamination in the local water lines has been eliminated.
The advisory was issued after a main line water break in the area last week.
