The Hazard Bulldogs hosted the Wolfe County Wolves on Tuesday, and after a first half struggle were able to put the game away in the second half.

Hazard opened the game with a basket, but then turned the momentum over to Wolfe County. The Bulldogs were able to close out the period with a bucket, but still trailed 14-12.

The opening of the second period saw the Bulldogs go on a 9-0 run (21-14). The Wolves would even the period late, and had a shot to tie before the half. However, the shot was off target and Hazard went into the locker room with the 24-22 lead.

Hazard came out of the break hot, and began to put points on the board. For the first couple of minutes, Wolfe County was able to keep pace; but began to wane toward the end. Going into the final period, the Bulldogs were on top 41-31.

Wolfe County would not be able to make a serious run in the fourth quarter, as Hazard maintained a double-digit lead. The Bulldogs went on to win the contest by the final tally of 63-48.
