Elmer McIntosh, 90, died Sunday, March 3 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center.
He was born Oct. 7, 1922, the son of the late Steve McIntosh and the late Mandy Crawford McIntosh, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Essie Guffey McIntosh.
He was a lifelong resident of Perry County, having resided in the Airport Gardens section of Hazard. He was a World War II veteran stationed in Germany at the end of the war. He was an employee of Faulkners Garage for 37 years. His hobbies included carpentry and woodworking. He will be missed by his family and Friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. with Don Pinson officiating at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends between the hours of noon until 2 p.m. Burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery located in Hazard. Military rites will be preformed immediately following the service by the DAV Chapter 64.
