Delores Ann Brashear, 60, died Tuesday, March 12 at the hospice care center in Hazard.
She was born July 8, 1952, in Hazard, the daughter of the late Winfrey Bush Brashear and the late Mary Holland Brashear. She was also preceded in death by brothers Darrell, Darwin, Denny, and Danny Brashear. She was a life-long resident of Perry County.
She is survived by her son, David Lowell Banks of Viper; daughter Eleschia Gaye Banks and husband Gary Oliver of Hazard; brothers Don Brashear of Christopher and Doug Brashear of Brookeville, Ohio; sisters Katie Martin of Taylorsville, Ky., Delena McKnight of Gray, Ky., and Debra Davidson of Viper; grandchildren Jared Wayne Oliver and Austin David Curtis Banks; and a host of other relatives and friends survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 15 at 3 p.m. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard with Douglas Martin officiating. The interment will follow in the Brashear Family Cemetery at Viper. Visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m.
