The Perry Central softball team will be hosting the first ever Tim Short Auto Softball Classic on May 10 and 11. It’s a round robin style tournament with teams from all across Eastern Kentucky.

Teams taking part in the tournament are: Harlan County, Clay County, Powell County, Letcher County Central, Leslie County and Perry County Central. All of the teams in the tournament are among the top in their Region and it will be an excellent opportunity to see some quality high school softball games.

The games will be played on Perry Central’s Softball field, located in the Perry County Park, up the hill across from the

county pool. During the games, Tim Short Auto will have several vehicles near the field for spectators to look at and test drive.

The Perry Central Softball team would like to thank Tim Short and George Minks for their generosity and support which has allowed this softball tournament to take place. Come out and join them in supporting Eastern Kentucky softball programs.

“Hosting a tournament of this nature means a great deal to our softball program and our school,” said Perry Central Softball Coach Jeff Campbell. “It’s great publicity for our school and our community and added that we can partner with Tim Short Auto makes it even better. We hope this becomes a long standing tradition for our softball program here at Perry Central.”
