Shirley Miller Barger, 67, died Thursday, May 16 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was born November 28, 1945, in Perry County, the daughter of the late William Miller and the late Dora Watts Miller, and was also preceded in death by brothers Joe, Fred, and Earnest Miller, and sisters Janie Thomas, Gracie Collins, and Ellie Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Barger, Jr.; son Clifton Barger of Dice; daughters Tammy Barger and husband Jimmy Dickerson of Chavies, and Charlotte Marie Barger of Jacksonville, Fl.; sister Norsie Soraya and husband Marvin of Dayton, Ohio; special sister-in-law Katie Miller of Dice; special friend Nancy Ann Miller of Dice; along with six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard at 1 p.m. with Noah Miller, Beecher Collins, and Chris Fugate officiating. The interment will follow in the Watts-Miller Cemetery located at Dice. The visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening.
