Dewey Couch, 85, of Hazard, died Friday, June 21 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired coal miner, and the son of the late Nicholas Couch and the late Mary Cornett. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Rebecca Faye Couch and Geraldine Couch; sister Thelma Campbell; and brother Kirby Couch.
He is survived by daughters Mary Baker and Anna Clouse, both of Chavies; sons Kenneth Couch, Charles Couch, Robert Carl Couch, Dewey Couch, Jr., and Ronnie Darrell Couch, all of Brownsfork; sisters Ruby Stewart of Michigan, Mildred Couch of Tennessee; Naomi Mechem of Michigan; Elizabeth Baker of Hazard, and Alice Fugate of Hazard; brother Darrell Couch of Michigan; along with two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, June 24. Services will immediately follow with Troy Smith officiating. Interment will be at Couch Cemetery in Brownsfork.
