Hannah Bowling, born January 15, 1920, passed away Friday, June 5 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was 89 years of age at the time of her passing.

She was born in Bowlingtown, the daughter of the late Garrett Bowling and the late Levice Bowling. She was a life long resident of Perry County and was a member of the Combs First Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bowling; daughter Gail Bowling Helton; granddaughter Melody Bowling and two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by sons Earl “Jeep” Bowling, Jr. of Combs and Euell “Rat” Bowling of Combs; daughter Brenda Sharon Clemons of Combs; granddaughters Robin, Rhonda, Raquel, Rebecca, Ramona, Karla, Courtney, and Whitney along with nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 8 at the Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard with Kenny Smith officiating. The burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery located at Hazard.

Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard was in charge of arrangements.
