Mary Magdalene Perry, born May 12, 1935, departed this life on January 9, 2010 at the age of 74. She was a lifelong resident of Perry County and the daughter of the late William Henry Dillion and Mary Jane Williams. Mary was affiliated with the Avawam Pentecostal Church and was a housewife by occupation.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Josephine Dillion and Chelsea Estep; son Emery Perry; daughter Sharon June Perry Kilburn, and step daughter Peggy Leigh Whitaker.

She is survived by sons William Jessie Perry and Charlotte of London, Robert Earl Perry of Hazard, Richard Darrell Perry of Hazard; daughter Sheila Perry Barger of London; brother Harlan Wayne Dillion of Missouri, sisters Thelma Jean Williams of Maces Creek, Sarah Ellen Bowling and Dean of Maces Creek. She also leaves behind 21 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends.

The funeral services for Mary Magdalene Perry were held on Tuesday, January 12 at the Avawam Pentecostal Church in Avawam.

Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard was in charge of arrangements.
