Early last week, the Hazard Lady Bulldogs traveled to Booneville to take on the Owsley County Lady Owls. The Lady Bulldogs fell behind early, and had to play catch up down the stretch.

The Lady Bulldogs opened the game hot but cooled slightly as the period came to a close. The Lady Owls took the 16-10 lead into the second period.

The second period played out similar to the first, with the only difference being a one-point increase by Owsley County. Going into the break, Hazard trailed 33-20.

Hazard picked up the pace in the third period, and all but played even with Owsley County. With eight minutes to play, the Lady Bulldogs needed to make up 15-points (49-34).

The Lady Bulldogs made a serious bid for the comeback in the fourth quarter, and cut the margin to less than 10 in the frame. However, Owsley County was able to keep their composure, and went on to the 67-58 win.
