Last week, the Hazard Bulldogs played host to the Letcher County Central Cougars. The Bulldogs opened up a small lead early, but allowed the Cougars to claw their way back into the game. Hazard needed a late rally to pull out the 51-37 win.

Hazard opened the game strong, racing up and down the floor scoring at will. The Bulldogs took the early 16-11 lead.

The Bulldogs suddenly went cold in the second period, allowing the Cougars to make up the difference. Going into the intermission, the game was knotted at 25.

Hazard returned to their usual form in the third period and began to regain their lead. By the time the horn sounded to end the quarter, the Bulldogs were back on top 38-34.

The fourth quarter saw the Bulldogs squash all hopes of a comeback by the Cougars. Hazard held Letcher Central to a single field goal in the quarter, and went on to win the game by the final tally of 51-37.
