Mr. Joseph Blaine Campbell, 67, of Busy, passed away Wednesday, February 24 at the Hazard ARH medical center.

He was the husband of Virginia Rose (Gibson) Campbell whom he married on September 16, 1967. He was born in Bowlingtown, Ky. on December 24, 1942 and was the son of Grace Bowling Campbell and the late Blaine Campbell. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Yerkes Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge #905 of Krypton. He was also an Army veteran, having volunteered to serve in Germany.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Virginia Rose Campbell of Busy; daughter Genia Jo and husband Greg Couch of Yerkes; mother Grace Campbell of Hazard; and brother Jim and wife Diane of Waynesburg. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and relatives.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 27 at Living Waters Church in Hazard with Bro. Paul Couch and Bro. Weston Pratt officiating. Burial was held at Campbell Cemetery located in Yerkes.

McKinght Funeral Home in Crab Orchard, Ky. was in charge of arrangements.
