Paul M. Compton, 73, of Buckhorn, passed away Friday, February 26 at his residence.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator and son of the late Ambrose and Olive Dingus Compton.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Rose Bowling; daughter Christine Compton of Florida and Sherry Ratliff of Prestonsburg step-sons Greg and Evelyn Bowling of NC, Bill and Stephanie Bowling of Miss., and Jonathan Bowling of Lexington; stepdaughters Connie and Mike Baker of Buckhorn and Pam Combs and Kenneth Stamper of Booneville; step-grandchildren Haley and Brian Baker, John Ryan Bowling, Dalton Stamper, Ashley Abner, Josh Combs, Lorna and Noah Mims; sister Lillian Allen of Stanville; special cousins Virginia Bradley and Kathleen Cribbs and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, TJ Compton.

Entombment was held at Dingus Cemetery.
