He was a veteran of the United States Army and the son of the late Bill Gillum and the late Golden Banks Gillum. He was also preceded in death by two brothers.
He is survived by daughter Sherrie Gillum; son William Kevin Gillum; sister Maxine Hall; brother Jimmy Gillum; and grandchildren Chelsi Tankersley, William Stallard III, Travis Vanover, and Christian Vanover.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. No services will be held.
