Dorothy Sizemore Stidham, born April 21, 1922, passed away Thursday, April 29 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was 88 years of age at the time of her passing.

She was born in Perry County, the daughter of the late Lewis Sizemore and the late Alwilda Hamblin Sizemore. She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Morris Stidham, son-in-law Willie Stidham, five brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Zelma Stidham of Krypton; brother Denver Sizemore of Ohio; sisters Sally Napier of Krypton and Bertha Wagers of Ohio; grandchildren Melissa King and Steve of Wilmore, Willie Stidham, Jr. and Sherrie, Robert Stidham and wife Carol, and Lisa Stidham, all of Krypton, and Michael Stidham of Hazard; great grandchildren John William, Kathleen, Zelma, Zarak, Dalton, Cierra, Chyane, Haley, Emma and Andrew; great-great grandchildren Alex, Mason, Breanna and Logan plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Krypton Brethren Church on Sunday, May 2 with Jim Sluss and Paul Sluss officiating. Burial followed in the Napier’s Branch Cemetery located at Krypton.

Engle-Walker Funeral Home of Hazard was in charge of arrangements.
