HAZARD – Three Ohio men accused of raping and sodomizing a woman in the Super 8 motel pled guilty in order to receive a plea deal on May 10. The case did not go to trial as scheduled because they accepted this plea agreement.

Leslie George Ivory, 43, of Dayton, Doyne Shane Glass, 34, of Miamisburg and James Wayne Devoe, 20, of Lewistown will follow three other men accused in the same case by accepting a plea deal.

The three other men accused, Tajh Eugene Barton, 20, of Dayton, Carlos La Mar Robinson, 20, of Dayton and Terry James Bolin, 34, of Cincinnati pled guilty and accepted plea bargains last month.

Judge Bill Engle declined to accept their pleas until after the trial of the three who had not pled guilty so they could testify during the trial.

On Thursday, those three will be in court again and the judge will most likely accept their pleas, said Perry County Commonwealth Attorney Teresa Reed.

The six men are accused of raping and sodomizing the victim, and attempting to bathe her to remove physical evidence, all while the victim was passed out. They are also accused of putting her in the back of a red pick-up truck and driving her to the Hazard Hotel where they left her and where Hazard City Police found her the next morning.

Because of the plea agreement, Ivory, Glass and Devoe are being charged with sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor offense punishable by a maximum of one year in prison.
