Doris Ann Fugate, 63, of Viper, passed away on Sunday, September 9 at the Hazard ARH medical center. She was a clerk in the Perry County Clerk’s Office for many years.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Hall.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony “Lanny” Fugate; mother Mahalia Couch Hall; daughter Lana Fugate Moore and husband Jaime; sons Anthony Richards Fugate and wife Della, and Andre Dalance Fugate; brothers Larry Hall and wife Sandy,and Rodney Hall and wife Debbie; grandchildren Whitley, Ben, Samuel, Haley, Chase, Austin, Jessica and Kelsey; great-grandchildren Jayslyn and Isabella; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11. Services will begin at noon on Wednesday, September 12 with Rev. Bartholomew Perry officiating. Interment will be at Callie Farmer Cemetery in Viper.
