Bill Petersen, 40, of Fort Thomas, Ky., died Thursday, Oct. 11 in Florida. He was a performance engineer for Vantiv.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Barber Slind, and brother Matt Petersen.
He is survived by his wife, Kara Petersen; father Douglas Petersen and wife Kaye; daughters Emma Petersen and Kate Petersen; son Seth Petersen; sister Jacintha Petersen; step-father Michael Slind; father- and mother-in-law Kenny and Sara Fitzpatrick; sisters-in-law Kristi Bowman and husband Tom, and Kendra Allen and husband Nolan, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16. Services will begin at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 17 with Rev. Mark Combs officiating. Interment will be Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Ky. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18.
