Wilgus “Gus” Sturgill, 68, of Hazard, died Friday, Oct. 19 at the hospice care center in Hazard.
He was the son of the late Owen Sturgill and the late Geneva Caudill.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sturgill; daughters Charlotte Keithley of Knoxville, Tn. and Christina Collier of Whitesburg; sisters Barbara Lee of Liberty, Ky. and Carlene Oliver of Paris, Ky.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. A memorial service was held at the Christopher Church of God on Saturday, Oct. 27 with Lyndon Barger officiating.
