Willard C. Campbell, 89, of Rowdy, died Thursday, Nov. 22 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

He was a retired teacher, principal, and school board member for the Perry County School District, and son of the late Jim Campbell and the late Hester Campbell. He was also preceded in death by sisters Ida Ward, Elvira Jones, and Rosa Lee Allen, and brothers Edward, Willis, Emory, and Millard Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche Campbell; sons Glen Campbell and Randy Campbell; sisters Bethana Watts and Joy Lock; grandchildren Clarissa Campbell, Jeremy Piatt, Danny Campbell, and Jonathan Campbell; great-grandchildren Noah Campbell, Nathan Campbell, Clay Piatt, and Liv Piatt; and a host of family and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23. Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24 with Rev. Eldon Miller officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery in Rowdy.
