Ima Johnson, 72, died Saturday, Dec. 8 at the her residence in Bonnyman.
She was the daughter of the late Joe Ivey and the late Etta White Ivey, and was also preceded in death by her grandson, Joey Adams.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Johnson; daughters Jo Ann Couch, Shirley Combs, Linda Johnson, Brenda Adams, and Annette Eversole; sisters Mima Hall and Rosa Lee Everidge; brothers Ivan Ivey and George Ivey; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Services will immediately follow. Entombment will be held at the Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Hazard.
