Merrill M. Keller, 87, formerly of Hazard, passed away at his home in Deltona, Fl. on Monday, Dec. 10.

He was born on July 12, 1925 and is survived by his wife, Alice N. Keller, and his daughter, Katrina, of Valdosta, Ga.

He was a retired employee of Mine Service and Christopher Steel, and he served in the Navy during World War II. He was also a former Perry County deputy sheriff. He was dedicated to his friends, people he loved, and to the advancement of humanity.

He was well read, extremely talented, an inventor of many aircraft advancements, maker of violins, painting, art, writer, historian, and a man of endless talent and profound knowledge.

His surviving special fiends were William “Bill” Hall, and Daniel and Warren Wolfe.

He was buried at his home in Florida.
