Lawrence Allen Steward, 79, of Hazard, died Monday, March 11 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
He was the son of the late Albert Steward and the late Bertha Layton Steward, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Leona Jent Steward.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Billy Joe Jent and wife Cleta, special friend Irene Combs, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard. The visitation will be held at the Vicco Baptist Church from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 14 with Ronald Davidson officiating. Interment will be held at the Resthaven Cemetery at Jeff.
