More than 50 people attended the Care Cottage’s fundraiser “A Fairy Tea Party” on Sept. 28. The event, held at the Harmony House Bed and Breakfast, was one of the Care Cottage’s many fundraisers held during “Supporting Success in Perry County.” During the event, Bailey Richards demonstrated how to create tiny fairy doors, and Nancy Kelly Allen read one of her children’s books. Allen also autographed the book and gave it away to one of the children present. “It has been fabulous,” said Pamela Carey, the executive director of the Care Cottage. Carey, along with Sherry Spradlin, the owner of the Harmony House, said they hope to make this an annual event. All proceeds from the tea party will benefit the Care Cottage.
