Hazard Coffee Company celebrates ribbon-cutting ceremony

On June 10, several community members gathered to celebrate a ribbon cutting ceremony for Hazard Coffee Company in downtown Hazard. Local leaders said the business has been a great asset to the community and is expected to continually serve as a beneficial business. “There's a lot of exciting things going on in downtown Hazard and out in the community and all out in Perry County. We're just glad to be a part of it,” said Perry County Judge-Executive Scott Alexander. Hazard Mayor Donald “Happy” Mobelini agreed, and said the city is glad that co-owner Maggie Prosser returned to Hazard to open the business with her husband, Stephen. “We really appreciate Maggie coming back to Hazard, because you can't start it back without your people back home,” said Mobelini.
