Bobbie Jean Miller, 74, of Bulan, died Friday, December 22, 2017, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.

She was born March 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Millard Jones and Elvira Campbell Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence and Opal; and two brothers, Lawrence and Bill.

She is survived by her husband, Mac Miller; two sons, Billy Elmer Miller of Dwarf, Timothy James (Melissa) Miller of Bulan; three sisters, Mary Jones of Bulan, Mable Caines of Bulan, Carolyn Bishop of Alabama; one brother, James “JD” Jones of Illinois; five grandchildren, Derrick Scott Miller, Kristie Turner, Timothy Dylan Miller, Brittany Miller, Sheraton Miller; two great-grandchildren, Karson and Aubrey; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Eric Napier officiating.  Burial followed in the Jones Cemetery, Hiner.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

She was born August 20, 1974, the daughter of James Johnson and Betty Bailey Johnson.

She was preceded in death by one brother, James Bradley Johnson Jr.

In addition to her parents, she is also survived by her husband, Mike Stacy; niece, Amberley Johnson; nephew, Garren Johnson; and a host of family and friends.

Durea Engle, 77, of Lotts Creek, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.

She was born January 6, 1940, the daughter of the late James Marcum Smith and Emmaline Gayheart Smith.  She was a retired CAN for the Hazard ARH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Lee, Herbert and Marcum Kernan Smith; and three sisters, Della Mae, Annetta Marie and Ruby Neil Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Engle; one daughter, Gena Engle of Lotts Creek; one sister, Bonnie (Terry) Stacy of Lotts Creek; grand-dog, Little Bit; grand-cat, Sugar; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel, with Jeff Combs, Josh Feltner and Chris Fugate officiating.  Burial followed in the Smith Family Cemetery, Lotts Creek.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

Earl Dean Stacy, 80, of Bonnyman, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.

He was born in Blue Diamond, October 28, 1937, the son of the late Elmer Stacy and Ivory Shepherd Stacy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Terry Johnson; and granddaughter, Samantha Gale Bowling.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sue Stacy of Bonnyman; three daughters, Teresa K. Sizemore (Walter) of Corbin, Sandra Dean (Marty) Bowling  of Meadow Branch, Rhonda Sue Hall of Chavies; two sisters, Wilma Jean of Hatton of Bonnyman, Jackie (Roland) Barker of Baytown, Texas; four granddaughters; two grandsons, four great-granddaughters; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and special extended Church Family.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. Merrill David Collins and Rev. Mike Smith officiating.  Burial followed in the Stacy Family Cemetery, Meadow Branch.  Arrangements were under the direction of Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard.

She was born October 8, 1925, the daughter of the late James Hughes and Martha Godsey Hughes.  She worked at Bob’s Tire Service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmanuel Bob Gross; one sister, Susie Combs; and two brothers, James and Jerry Hughes.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan (Franklin) Newberry; one sister, Martha Hughes Dye; brother-in-law, Clyde (Ola) Gross; four grandchildren, James Logan Fields, Jonathan Matthews, Rebekah Fields and Jared Newberry; four great-grandchildren, Brittney Fields, Jaden Fields, Jonathan Feltner and Jeriko Abney; one great-great-grandchild, Rowdy Logan Hall; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Herbert Hicks officiating.  Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery, Hazard.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

William “Bill” James Combs, 62, of Combs, died Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Hazard ARH.

He was born February 25, 1955, the son of the late Ted Combs and the late Lillie Mae Cody Combs.  He was a truck driver employed by KY Oil Gathering.

He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Hayes Combs; two daughters, Lindsey Dawn (Jeremy) Farmer of Georgia, and Mikenzi Shea (Gilbert Brummett) Hayes of Ohio; one sister, Vicki (Oscar) Minks of Jeff; one brother, Douglas W. Combs of Jeff; six grandchildren, Landon Farmer, Dawson Farmer, Cayden Barton, Adrian Barton, Hayes Farmer and Bryson Brummett; two step grandchildren, Camden Brummett and Kolton Bickel; five nieces, Michelle, Julie, Andi, Brook and Brandi; two nephews, Bryan and Michael; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Rev. Butch Pennington officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elijah Combs Family Cemetery, Jeff.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.
