“Tiny” Dixon

Gary L “Tiny” Dixon, 61, of Slemp, died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Rockcastle Hospital.

He was born May 16, 1958, the son of the late Arcle Dixon and the late Delta Shepherd Dixon.

He is survived by one step daughter, Donna Duff; two brothers, Kerry (Judy) Dixon of Slemp, Otis (Wilma) Dixon of Slemp; finance, Fiancé, Nancy Johnson; two nieces, Stephanie Dixon and Kerri Dixon; two nephews, Ottis Dixon Jr. and Jesse Dixon; one great niece, McKenna; one great nephew, Colton; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 27.  Burial followed in the Shepherd Cemetery, Slemp.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

Gladys Feltner

Gladys Faye Feltner, 75, of Happy, died Thursday, May 23, 2019, at her residence.

She was born September 22, 1943, the daughter of the late Estill Terry and the late Harlett Caudill Sexton.  She worked as a custodian for the Perry County Schools for many years, was a member of the Happy Freewill Baptist Church, enjoyed westerns, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, McClee “Big Mac” Feltner; one son, Roger Dean Feltner; as well as one son-in-law, Michael Walls.

She is survived by three daughters, Mona Feltner of Happy, Tammy Walls of Happy, Tonya Combs (Jeff) of Acup; one son, Everett Feltner (Shirley) of Happy; one sister, Margaret Robertson of Fairborne, Oh.; seven grandchildren, Michael, Denver, Katelsha, Shawna, Jeffery, Keena, and Zick; 13 great-grandchildren, Kameron, Memphis, McKayla, Bralden, Serenity, Ryder, Wyler, Alaric, Kenneth, Roy, Dougie, Mason and Austin; special friend, Jerry Noble; her special church family of Happy Freewill Baptist Church; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 26, at the Happy Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Smith officiating.  Burial followed in the Scuddy Cemetery, Scuddy.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

Lori Perry

Lori Pamela Luttrell Perry, 44, formerly of Hazard, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Compassionate Care Center.

She was born March 9, 1975, the daughter of Mike Luttrell and Diane Duff Luttrell.  She was a 1993 Hazard High School graduate and a 1998 Morehead State graduate.  She worked for Travelers as a workers comp claims adjuster.  She enjoyed spending her time cooking, baking and being with her two children.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Paul Dull.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, John D. “Zeke” Perry II; one daughter, Allison Perry; one son, Mason Perry; one brother, Michael Luttrell (Rebecca); grandmother, Lorene Duff; one nephew, William; one niece, Kate; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service was held 1-3 p.m. Sunday, May 26, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

Ronnie Sebastian

Ronnie Lee Sebastian, 48, of Combs, died Sunday, May 26, 2019, at his residence.

He was born March 28, 1971, the son of Lena Faye Garrett Sebastian and the late Ray Sebastian Jr.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dave Sebastian; paternal grandparents, Ray and Polly Sebastian; maternal grandparents, Elbert and Laura Garrett.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Pamela Sebastian, Shannon Sebastian; one son, Ronnie Lee Sebastian Jr. (Kaylyn); five sisters, Darlene Tremblay (Dan), Carolyn Edwards (Johnny), Lena Wooton (Dean), Polly Baker (Chris), Jennifer Day (Jessie); one brother, Harvey Sebastian (Nicole); two grandchildren, Paislee Blake Miller and Adalyn Dawn Sebastian; special family members, Smiley and Ozma Woolum; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Roy Johnson officiating.  Burial followed in the Sebastian Family Cemetery, Watts.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

Nell Thacker

Nell Marie Fugate Thacker, 86, of Dunraven, died Sunday, May 26, 2019, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.

She was born January 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Cecil Edward Noble and the late Lula Godsey Noble.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Dean Fugate; second husband, Woodrow Thacker; two sisters, Rosalle Campbell and Bobbie Jean Jones; and two brothers, James “Boozer” Noble and J.B. Noble.

She is survived by one daughter, Princess Fugate (Randall) Barnett; five sons, Jerry (Sally) Fugate, Roger Fugate, David (Irene) Fugate, Kenneth (Lisa) Fugate, Jesse (Lisa) Fugate; three sisters, Nancy Combs, Joyce Combs, Wanda Maggard; two brothers, Denny Ray Noble, Dean Noble; ten grandchildren, Jerry Lewis Fugate Jr., Jason Fugate, Deana Denell Fugate, Steve Fugate (Alison), Fallon Fugate (Stephen Mullins), Trevor Fugate (Dessandra Napier), Dr. Randaline Barnett (Eric Gonzalez), Kimberlin Dotson (Michael), Jake Fugate and Sanchari Fugate; eight great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Henry Fugate officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fugate-Noble Cemetery, Chavies.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

Evangeline Deaton White, 95, of Georgetown, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Pine Meadows Nursing Home.

She was born September 19, 1923, the daughter of the late Claude Deaton and the late Allie Deaton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Estill White; one sister, Josephine Deaton.

She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Stidham (Donnie) of New Haven, Ind., Joann Calhoun (Troy) of Erlanger, Edward Sue Perkins (Larry McMurrary) of Georgetown; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; four nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Feltner and Rev. James Hamblin officiating.  Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery, Hazard.  Arrangements were under the direction of Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard.

Woodrow Williams, 75, of Cornettsville, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.
