“Bubby” Campbell

William Cody “Buddy’ Campbell, 32, of Odessa, Tex., died Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

He was born August 30, 1986 to Bill and Tina Mullins Campbell. He was a Field Tech Supervisor employed by Innovex Downhole Solutions.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eugene Mullins; and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Margaret Campbell.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Keli Marie Campbell; one son, Peyton Maverick Campbell; one sister, DaSHAKA Williams (Jason); grandmother, Jean Mullins; niece, Jaslyn Williams; nephew, Cayden Williams; brother-in-law, Cornell Hamburg (Cheryl); sister-in-law, Karmen Hamburg; two special friends Christopher Campbell and Matt Bird; and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. Friday, August 30, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Chris Fugate officiating.  Burial followed in the Campbell Cemetery, Sixteen Mile Creek.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

“Chad” Campbell

Charlie “Chad” Campbell, 68, of Hazard, died Friday, August 30, 2019, at Hazard ARH.

He was born January 13, 1951, the son of the late Sam Campbell and the late Betsy Bush Campbell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a host of siblings.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Miller of London, Stella Hurt (Raymond) of Lower Second Creek; three brothers, Frank Campbell of Hazard, David Campbell (Sandra) of Morehead, Denny Campbell (Carolyn) of Oh.; special great niece, Whitney Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. at the Gospel Light Baptist Church with Rev. Christ Fugate officiating.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard.

Beulah Mae Caudill, 58, of Viper, died Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Whitesburg ARH.

She was born April 29, 1961, the daughter of the late Luther Zolia and the late Pearlie Jent Zolia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Arlie Zolia.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Caudill; two daughters, Tunya Caudill of Viper, Christy Adams of Viper; one son, Scott Caudill of Viper; two brothers, Jethro Zolia of Viper, William Zolia of Viper; two grandchildren, Courtney Adams and Dylan Adams; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 29, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Arthur Holland officiating.  Burial followed in the Jent Cemetery, Georges Branch.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

Simon Lunce

Simon Lunce, 73, of Hazard, died Wednesday, August 28, at Hazard ARH.

He was born in Hazard, July 2, 1946, the son of the late Jim Lunce and the late Mae Pennington Lunce.  He was a retired lineman for the KY Power Company, a United States Army Veteran, as well as a member of the Lothair Community Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Ann Frazier Lunce; three sisters, Wilma Taylor, Molly Davis and Eva Cornett; three brothers, Elbert Lunce, James W. Lunce and J.B. Lunce; and one granddaughter, Kenadee Simpson.

He is survived by one daughter, Heather Lunce-Simpson (CA-Torrey) of Hazard; four sisters, Mattie Olinger of Hazard, Sadie Pray of Hazard, Lillie Finnission (Ken) of Hazard, Betty Lunce of Hazard; one brother, Don Lunce (Carroll) of Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Makenna Simpson and CA-Torrey Simpson II; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 2, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Rev. Dana Feltner officiating.  Entombment followed at the Mtn. View Memorial Gardens, Hazard.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.

Ann Loretta Tucker, 82, of Hazard, died Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center.

She was born January 20, 1937, the daughter of the late Clarence Eversole and the late Ellen Vanover Eversole.  She was employed by Food Fair and was a member of Big Creek Pentecostal Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Everette, Jack and Cash.

She is survived by her husband, James Donald Tucker; one daughter, Susan Lynn Stacy (Marcus) of Big Creek; one son, Marcus Tucker (Angie) of Bonnyman; two sisters, Shirley Baker (Bert) of Big Creek, Edith Hamilton (Bob) of Big Creek; five brothers, Bill Eversole (Betty) of Big Creek, Virgil Eversole of Big Creek, David Eversole (Mary Ann) of Big Creek, Fred Eversole of Big Creek, Bobby Eversole (Maxine) of Cornett Hill; four grandchildren, Hilary Carol Tucker, Jacob Tucker, Kameron Stacy and Kirsten Cornett; one great grandchild, Kara; special nephew, Jimmy (Karen) Eversole; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, at the Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Johnny Akers and Terry Joseph officiating.  Burial followed in the Eversole Family Cemetery, Big Creek.  Arrangements were under the direction of Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel of Hazard.
