The Perry County Fair started June 14 at the Perry County Park and ran through Saturday 16, bringing a number of free events to entertain the whole family.

This year’s fair featured returning favorites such as musical groups Halfway to Hazard and Midlife Crisis, a petting zoo, pig races and the Cruize-In.

Attendees were also able to enjoy Battle of Leatherwood Skirmishes, craft booths and Antique Alley, food vendors and the Farmer’s Market.

A local attraction restarted last week, when "Thursdays on the Triangle" kicked off its season May 25.

Thursdays on the Triangle” will †be held on alternating Thursdays through Aug. 30.

The event was held and organized through a partnership between Mountain Association for Community Economic Development (MACED), the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky and the Hazard/Perry County Chamber of Commerce with support from the City of Hazard and the Perry County Community Foundation.
